Olivier Vermeulen is an associate partner and attorney-at-law specialising in Property and Construction law.
Olivier has extensive experience in construction contracting. He regularly litigates construction disputes before the Construction Arbitration Council, the Netherlands Arbitration Institute and the Civil Court. Olivier also advises widely on the conclusion of real estate transactions (purchase/sale, rent/lease, sale and lease back) and on the development of real estate projects. He has also gained extensive litigation experience on these topics at various dispute resolution bodies.
Olivier was sworn in as an attorney-at-law in 1997. Until 2007, he was an attorney-at-law in the real estate section of the law firm Houthoff. To gain experience outside the legal profession, he then worked for three years as an in-house lawyer at a property developer. After that, he was a partner and attorney-at-law in construction law at Houtzager Strijker advocaten in Zeist and Straatman Koster advocaten in Rotterdam. In the summer of 2024, he joined Clairfort advocaten as an associate partner.
Olivier completed the Grotius specialist course in Real Estate in 2001. He is a member of several specialist associations in the field of construction and real estate. He also regularly gives lectures and courses in this field.
