Evert van Gelderen is an attorney-at-law specialising in intellectual property and commercial contracts. He is a founding partner of Clairfort.
Evert is a specialist in the field of the law governing copyrights, trademarks, trade names, designs and portraits. He advises on the protection of names and products, among other things, and litigates in the fields of intellectual property right infringements and counterfeits. He furthermore assists in the negotiating and drafting of commercial contracts, such as operating and licensing agreements and IT contracts. He represents Dutch and international companies in a wide range of industries, such as the fashion, cosmetic, toy, automotive and household electronics sectors.
Before founding Clairfort in October 2017, he was a partner at Banning Advocaten in Den Bosch and at De Gier | Stam & Advocaten in Utrecht. Evert was in charge of the intellectual property practices at both firms.
Evert furthermore regularly lectures in his areas of expertise, is a member of the editorial team of IE-forum.nl and the Copyright Lawyer Magazine, and is a regular guest at BNR Nieuwsradio. Evert is enterprising, professional, friendly and open-minded.
He is an active member of various professional associations, namely the International Trademark Association (INTA), Marques, the Vereniging voor Auteursrecht (Copyright Law Association) and the Beneluxvereniging voor Merken- en Modellenrecht (Benelux Association for Trademark and Design Law) (BMM).
