David de Jong is a partner and lawyer who specialises in property, contract and procedural law.
He frequently appears in legal proceedings before district courts, courts of appeal and arbitration tribunals. In addition, he is regularly involved in administrative law litigation concerning issues of spatial planning. David has expertise and experience in covering matters which are at the complex interface of administrative and civil law.
In the past David worked as an attorney-at-law at Veldhuijzen, Schep & Nuiten in Dordrecht and subsequently for Bots van Ravenhorst Advocaten in Utrecht. During that period he always ran a litigation practice which increasingly focused on matters pertaining to construction and property. In 2008 he joined the law firm, Houtzager Strijker, as a partner and it became part of Clairfort on 1 January 2018.
David completed the Grotius specialist programme of study, Immovable Property, in 2007. Apart from working as a lawyer, in 2007 and 2008 he also taught Property Law and Contract Law at the HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem and Nijmegen.
