Maarten represents clients in the fields of intellectual property, IT and privacy law, in disputes (including infringement of copyright and trademark rights and violations of the GDPR), as well as in advice and contract files.
For nine years Maarten worked as a legal expert at a niche law firm in Utrecht, assisting a wide range of clients, from tech start-ups to multinational retailers. In this respect, he provided a great deal of advice on business contracts, involving distribution, agencies and IT, among other things. In recent years he has also developed into an expert in the field of privacy law.
Maarten prefers practical solutions to complex legal problems. He aims to help businesses and save them as much “fuss and bother” as possible.
Maarten is a member of the Beneluxvereniging voor Merken- en Modellenrecht (Benelux Association for Trademark and Design Law) (BMM) and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
