Maaike Berends – de Weerd is an attorney-at-law and associate partner within the Construction & Real Estate department of Clairfort.
Maaike studied at Utrecht University. Before joining Clairfort as a lawyer in 2020, she gained over 15 years of experience within tenancy law and civil construction law, both in advisory practice and litigation practice. In 2015, Maaike completed the Grotius Specialisation Course in Real Estate Law.
Maaike advises and litigates in the field of tenancy and civil construction law. Furthermore, Maaike assists and advises property developers, construction companies, investors, municipalities and housing associations in property transactions and in the development, realisation and operation of real estate.
She completed her training as a mediator in 2024.
Maaike is a member of several specialist associations, including the Property Lawyers Association, the Construction Law Association and the Dutch Procedural Law Association.
